A surreal experience

It has been a great week. Work opportunities seem to be flooding in right now, and with little sales & promotional effort on my part. If it keeps up for the rest of this month, I will have to start turning prospects away or risk missing deadlines.

One prospect contacted me to look at ongoing development of a website… an adult website.
Being the professional I am, of course, the thought of being paid to have porn on my screen didn’t even cross my mind… not once… nope… not never…

The meeting went well, a not untypical discussion about the current state of the site, how its design and build has reached limitations and how they want things to move forward. Nothing out of the ordinary there…

What was entirely surreal, was this business discussion took place while the nearby computer screen flashed through a stream of images of young women in, well, let’s say… significantly more than merely varying stages of undress. Powered and un-powered implements, bits and bobs found around the home - actually, mainly the apartment in which we were meeting (I would certainly have passed the offer of a fried egg on toast, just in case the dishwasher hadn’t fulfilled its allotted task) - and camera angles which would sometimes made it difficult to stay on the subject under discussion.

So now I have access to the site and the unenviable task of familiarising myself with its function and suggesting how to evolve and improve the site’s backend functions. Paid to surf porn… shame.
