Last week was a week of finding perfect solutions to every day problems. Here’s one: a book light. But not like anyting else I have seen before. This one, as you can see above, has a flexible neck to position the light preceisely where you need it. Not only that but the bean is switchable from a narrow spot - much like a miniature torch - to a broad glow, wide enough to illuminate an entire double page spread. The flexible neck is wrapped around the body of the lamp, which contains the switch and batteries (two AAA), and in this configuration can be used as a small, hand-held torch.
I would love to tell you where you can get this £4.99 little gem online, but I have yet to find it. It is available, however, in Waterstones book stores (or at least it is available in the Maidenhead branch!)

Nifty!
BTW, I love the ‘In Progress’ shot of the drawing that you show us here!
