Brad Gibson on PodcastconUK 2006

I didn’t pick this up until today, but earlier this month Brad Gibson, producer of the MacFormat podcast and inciter of all manner of disgust from indie podcasters right at the start of the day, writes about his experience and in particular what he learned from meeting such a broad range of individual podcast producers at the November event:

But one thing PodCastCon UK taught me is that there is a place for everyone in podcasting - from those who want to make a buck and those who just want to express their opinions.

Now that seems like a big thumbs up to the success of that event, and the continuing need to have another one this year - something I have yet to be convinced will happen as a community-driven, non-commercial affair. The podcasting space in the UK is changing rapidly and it’s not all down to PodShow.
Also published in that blog post is a transcript of his controversial address in the day’s first morning session.
