John Buckley over at Citizen Scoop has spent a big chunk of energy gathering audio comments from a whole bunch of BritCaster forum users as a tribute and sendoff to the first UK podcasting community forum. Nice one John. If you’ve got an hour to spare (yes, an hour!) then get over to Citizen Scoop for all the info and the audio: http://www.citizenscoop.co.uk/blog/_archives/2006/12/15/2575712.html
UPDATE: While reseaching and preparing theĀ forum codebase for ‘locking’ later tonight - not something that’s a standard feature on pgpBB forums - I listened through John’s ‘Leaving do’ podcast (link above). All I can say is this is the best thing I’ve listened to in a long while, not just because there is an emotinal attachment with the subject, but because every contributor and most importantly John Buckley himself, clearly put a great deal of throught into each of their comments. Every one has something important and valuable to say and so many viewpoints encompass the scope of past, present, and future potential of the UK podcaster community. There’s a clear tinge of sadness for something passing but an equally clear feeling of a new, fresh, and positive start. I cannot thank everyone enough who put the time into contributing, and of course to John for making it happen. This is what community is all about.

Just listening now, sounds great.
Thanks for all the time and effort you and Jen put into Britcaster Neil.
Don’t be a stranger in the forums - there’s a bril thread on ADD Jen and I have contributed to.
John’s editing cannot be ignored, his editing and editorial skills are awesome.
