sending beams of encouragement your way...

short periods of focused imbalance are sometimes necessary, but take my word as someone who has learned the hard way - one must MAKE TIME for the things that are most important - family, friends, personal renewal and the really significant work activities

it's very easy to get caught up in the "thick of thin things"

good for you that you're taking steps to control your own time

Welcome to my world Neil :)
Add to the malaise that west coasters 'forget' the time difference. I find that scheduling dinner time with the girls early in the day makes the scheduled break much more enjoyable. Of course they are thus beholden to my schedule, but that's what family is all about. Oh, and of course weekends are now holy. No work. Except No Agenda, but that's really a hobby....

Well you know you have my support! :D
I hate to see you worn down, burnt out, and unhappy, and I've seen far too much of that lately. I'll do everything I can around here to help you re-balance and regain your life. (And expect the odd kick in the pants if you slip back into old habits!)

I've never thought about that with the idea behind what you said about broad searches compared to exact searches. I did a check and it seems true.

Car insurance compared to "car insurance" is a difference of 56,000,000 (car insurance) compared to 48,600,000 ("car insurance").

Then I did a less competitive phrase (car stereo systems) 5,610,000 and ("car stereo systems") 101,000. Big difference.

For my last test I used car stereo and "car stereo" . Results were nearly the same.

Ha! Now that's exactly who I first thought of. Though I wonder how she would fulfill similar criteria to the US GoDaddy personalities who have achieved excellence in some sport or other. Perhaps it's would be a very different focus over here.

Hmm... I'm a little cynical about Lucas' move with this latest movie/tv thing. Something smacks of a roadblock forcing him to re-think his plans, or perhaps he simply could not get the TV deal he wanted. So, shove out a very publicised movie, get the audience chomping for more (a cliff-hanger ending that will only be resolved in the TV series would help), then go back to the TV network and force a more attractive deal... not that I care, just pondering the possibilities.

George Lucus has come up with a cunning twist on the TV/movie tie-in - possibly by accident.

His "clone wars" animated series is going to kick-off with a movie, then immediately move to the small screen.

I don't go to the movies very often, but if it's a lead in to a whole tv series of Star Wars stuff, I might be tempted by this.

And rather then the movie being a drawn-out version of a well-established tv show, it's going to be something new and exciting.

Genius, really, however unplanned.

I think one benefit is just to let the "non-early adopters" know these services exist.

Sure, it's a slow burn, but how else do people find out about these things? If they see the digg icon enough times, the might investigate what it's all about.
