It is good to see Firefox in active development, with the latest release (1.5) now available for download. Lots of improvements to accessibility, performance and security (release notes).
But take care. The content management system I have been developing over the past few months for a client, uses an online WYSIWYG editor called TinyMCE. Due to changes in Firefox 1.5, this editor is rendered useless. As someone who refuses to use Internet Explorer unless the sky falls in (at which point it would become unnecessary for a whole load of other reasons) this is a major pain.
However, congratulations go out to Moxiecode for already releasing a Firefox 1.5 friendly version, actually TinyMCE 2.0.
If this seems like an odd post, presenting the problem then notifying abut the solution, it’s because between the time I decided to write the post and the moment I visited the TinyMCE website, the new 2.0 had been released. Not wanting to leave myself having to find another subject to post about (squirrels, most likely), I thought I’d throw it up anyway.

That’s good news about the editor.
Now, you know I like squirrels… you’re such a tease.

Funky news about the editor, thanks for letting us know.
There’s a nice story about Squirrels at http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/12/05/squirrel_attack/

I’ve not yet installed the V2 update so cannot say it’s all funky (good funky that is). I’ll report back once I’ve done it later this week.
