How long does it take for Windows XP to be infected?

Maybe a little scare-mongering, but watch this video to discover just how little time it can take a completely unprotected Windows XP system to be infected once connected to the internet.
Is it an hour? Is it ten minutes?
No. 8 seconds!

In just 8 seconds, the Windows machine was infected with the sasser worm and was off happily downloading all kinds of spyware and other malicious applications.
Take a look at the video accompanying the news piece.

    That video is astonishing.
Just wait until Vista comes out… it’s being release as 7 different products… not just ‘Home’, ‘Pro’, and ‘Server’. Oh no… four more on top of that! Hackers are gonna love it! ;)
