UPDATE May 2008: The PodShow discount offers in this post are no longer available – buy from Amazon.
UPDATE March 2008: Amazon have reduced their price on the N810 to match the PodShow offer.
Yes, I want a Nokia N810 Internet Tablet. Having played with the one spare unit floating around the office over the past week or so, I have to say I like it and I think it could be a genuinely useful tool.
A limited number of producers who are part of the PodShow network are now able to offer a Nokia N810 coupon code discount for a full 15% off the retail price of the N810. In the UK that knocks a sniff under £50 from the price, bringing it well below Amazon!
This little baby gives you full internet access (and yes, the PodShow site does work on it if a tad on the slow side to render) including services such as gmail, Google Docs (not 100% functionality), web2.0sites such as facebook, skype, gizmo, music/media player,built-in GPS, and a bunch more stuff. Plenty of online reviews and details for this bit of kit so I won’t just repeat what others are saying. When I get one I’ll report in more detail after playing with it in depth. In particular I’m interested in ho it can work as a writing tool.

We had crispy duck for Christmas dinner one year
My plan for Christmas is similar to yours. Being a big Babylon 5 fan, I have the entire series on DVD. I plan to start at the beginning and watch the whole series over again this winter. Christmas Day is my Day 1. It’s always nice to spend Christmas somewhere else!
I like how you think! Only at my house it would be a Hills marathon.
Want 810. No fair. No cash.
Does it have a paint/draw app on it? Have you tried sketching on it at all?
I’ll have a nose around it next week to see if it has a drawing app – nothing immediately obvious. Though so long as there’s wifi it should work with doodlebug
