Nostalgia

This page is called Nostalgia: the art of discovering data on old CDs.

I was clearing out a whole lot of old stuff and flotsam recently and discovered a CD-ROM inscribed with ‘Emergency backup data’; a typical description for one of those “OMG my hard disk is about to die!” moments. The disk mounted fine, despite a few scratches, and burned onto it I discovered a whole lot of files I thought I had lost years ago. These included a couple of my earliest website creations, some illustrations and design work and the only three pieces of written work I have ever had published (or even tried to have published).

So I thought it would be fun to have a nostalgia page where you can step back in time with me and laugh at stuff from a time when I tried to have wheels on my feet, really did optimise web graphics for modem download (as opposed to snubbing all modem users for not being serious about the web), and had a great deal more facial hair.

Enjoy…

InLine OutLine

Three articles with accompanying illustrations which appeared in early issues of Skatermag (as far as I am aware, no longer in print). I am not entirely sure of the dates for these, but just think back to when Inline Skating was just taking off in the UK.

  2. InLine OutLine II
  3. InLine OutLine III

More self indulgent nostalgia coming soon…
