Now here’s a reason to look forward to May

Pitchfork: Exclusive: Bjork Talks Volta for the Very First Time
Volta: a new album from Björk, to be released on 7th May. Probably explains the timing of her playing at Glastonbury this year – a place I’m really not up to attending for both price and stamina reasons.
I never tire of her music and am always fascinated with the journey she takes me on with each new album. I have to admit, the last one, Medulla, was a little challenging for my taste. Less rhythmic and more vocal, it flowed strange melodies which were sadly reminiscant of less than pleasant memories from way back in school when our specially assembled school orchestra took part in what turned out to be a farcical electronic music competition back in, well, must have been at least 26 years ago.
From the Pitchfork interview, it sounds like Björk is returning to her rhythmic styling and experimenting with lo-fi percussive sounds once more. I cannot express just how much I am looking forward to this one! You never know, she just might do a couple of UK gigs and decide not to charge £300 a ticket this time.

Excellent first show guys, keep ‘em coming!

Kim, it’s a diary of our Madeira trip over a total 7 half hour episodes, so some will drift off topic here and there, but most of each one covers our experiences while out there – experiences good enough to make us return this year
