This week, podcast hosting and publishing service Podango anounced they are about to shut down.
In a notice to all Podango users just two days ago, president Douglas G. Smith announced likely closure to take place Wednesday December 31st and that all users should take immediate measures to back-up media files uploaded there.

On its journey to the quietly heralded version 3, BTPodShow.com and PodShow.com last night had a very strategic spruce-up with a new interface.
UPDATE: Adam Curry refers to this as less a facelift than a shot of botox!

2008 is doing a grand job of eliminating noise and embracing substance – I am sensing an optimism on one particular area that I have not seen for the past two years. This year, podcasting (for want of an alternate name) is finally forging onwards and upwards.
