This currently very modest site will be a focus for promoting pet portraits and hopefully generating a few commissions. Little more than an about, how-to, and simple ordering process right now, I hope it will grow, particularly in featuring new works as I complete them.

Many similar sites (and there really are many) also feature technique articles and videos, so I am pondering something similar. Perhaps some live streaming when I am working on a piece as there does seem to be a fascination in how images like this are created.

With my current schedule I can just about manage to produce a couple of these portraits in a week, so here’s hoping the orders do not start flooding in just yet! But if you know someone with pets who might appreciate a portrait, let me encourage you to point them at the site.

This does mean that I will not be doing many freebie sample drawings from now on – as a few of you have asked – unless I have nothing else in the pipeline to work on.

The site has no preview thumbnails, it’s a ‘journey’ through various artworks – mostly those within my main Moleskine sketchbook. I have also added some text beneath each one. These texts may give you an insight into what inspired each drawing, or are just words inspired by the drawing. Some are sensible, others quirky.

Updates will still appear here and on flickr, of course, but I now feel far more comfortable having a specific place to collect these works together.

Like Book 1, the second installment was originally devised as a TV episode, and written as an initial screenplay some years ago. The working title I had at the time never really grabbed my attention, so I resolved to come up with a new title for this new novel incarnation of the story.
