I doubt we’ll hear any sign of “Evenin’ all” or “you ain’t got nuffn’ on me, copper!” but South Yorkshire Police’s new podcast is certainly intriguing.
South Yorkshire Police are the first police force in the country to offer a podcasting service. This service will consist of interviews with members of the force to keep you informed about initiatives South Yorkshire Police is currently involved in.
This is a superb initiative and demonstrates that podcasting is not just all about geekiness or a need for individuals to find a voice, but also about communication between a service and the public which it serves. Real-world applications of new technologies - yay!.
