There goes the Twittering neighbourhood

I simply could not get my head around twitter. Then suddenly, it’s usefulness came to me. On Skype I use the mood message to inform anyone interested of what I’m up to and what the likelihood is that I’ll be reachable. Of course, not everyone I know or who wants to reach me, is on Skype, so twitter’s microblogging concept could do the same but for a much broader audience.
It’s an odd beast, and I’m not entirely convinced that it will have any real longevity as it’s tough to picture how it may grow and develop in the future. But for now, it’s fun, and has more than a little potential for something creative.
