Twitter and the unfolding saga of Kirk and FishDog

It seems that there is a story unfolding on Twitter.com… One or two visitors to this little blob of blogland may know that I have written about this before, related to Skype, but now things seem to have moved to Twitter.

Four characters play out a real time unfolding story through their posts - called ‘tweets’ - to Twitter.com. The story moves at a difference pace depending on what is happening: more posts during more intense times, less posts when everyone is asleep!

If you don’t know, Twitter is microblogging, which is… well, it’s actually quite tough to define exactly what Twitter is. Think of it as a means of making short public messages about anything - usually where you are or what you’re doing/thinking. I know, I thought “what’s the point?” too, but it’s actually an enjoyable way to keep minimal contact with people you want to keep in contact with, and ignore those you don’t (though like many such networking sites, one gets the distinct impression that people follow others simply because they feel they should be seen to have them in their friends list).

Back to the point…
The story surrounds the intricate and clearly complex relationship triangle between Kirk, Angel Spoon, and Fish Dog. Their individual personalities are still being developed - and there’s hint of a fourth character, Crow Slinger, emerging today - but this is clearly a slightly quirky world in which the story is being played out. If you are not a member of Twitter, then you can follow the story simply by visiting any one of the characters’ twitter pages (linked tofrom each name above). Twitter members should ‘add’ each character to their Twitter account to be sure of the most recent updates.
I’m rapidly getting hooked on the characters, will you? ;)
